We are pleased to invite you to the Suwannee River Valley Birding Festival & the Wild Azalea Festival. The Festival Steering Committee has planned an exciting day. This is our second year for the Suwannee River Valley Birding Festival and we have joined with the Wild Azalea Festival to give you a sampling of the birding available in the Suwannee River Valley and a chance to enjoy the Wild Azalea Festival.

The Birding Festival features several unique birding field trips, offering attendees an opportunity to explore the PCS lands, which are normally not open to the public. In addition they will have the opportunity to visit the Alligator Lake Recreation Park in Columbia County and Big Shoals in Hamilton County to view the new Woodpecker Trail. On Sunday, we will be offering a trip to Ichetucknee Springs State Park with an optional canoe trip.

The Wild Azalea Festival offers arts and crafts, entertainment and great food. Boat and kayaking tours will be offered throughout the weekend. We have scheduled four exciting seminars.  We are also offering two opportunities to meet and mingle during the Festival. All registrants are invited to the Opening Reception on Friday, March 18, 2005 and the Social on Saturday Evening, March 19, 2005.
